Over 1000 students and staff take to the footpaths and bridleways of South Oxfordshire as part of the biennial Sponsored Walk. This event has been running at Abingdon for over 30 years and after being postponed for a year has returned with record numbers taking part.
The walkers covered a 10 mile stretch taking in parts of the Oxfordshire Greenbelt Way and The Thames Path. The worst of the rain that was forecast held off and students completed the route in good time. Some of the fastest runners were back at school in less than an hour and 15 minutes.
